What I do

I am currently working as an Applications Software Engineer for Lutron Electronics. I am part of a cross-functional team focused on the Lutron Designer software suite used to design and program Lutron's smart home devices and lighting solutions.

Lutron Electronics is a multinational corporation based in Coopersburg Pensylvania providing smart home integration and lighting solutions for luxury residences and commercial spaces.

Education

I finished my Bachelor's degree from The Univeristy of Arizona in Tucson. I graduated with Honor's Magna Cum Laude with a major in Electrical and Computer Engineering and a minor in Statistics and Data Science.

Previuos Work Experience

During my senior year of college I worked as a Software Engineer Intern for Accelerate Diagnostics based in Tucson. Accelerate Diagnostics produces medical devices that carry out rapid Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (AST). My duties included maintaining the graphical user interface of the production devices, front-end development for the web client and making software solutions for various other tasks as required by the different departments of the company.

Before working for Accelerate, I served as the Lead Emerging Technologist for Tech Core. Tech Core was a software company within the Univeristy of Arizona that conducted software and hardware research projects for different departments in within the university as well as for external clients. I was the primary developer for all augmented reality and virtual reality projects. I also carried out hardware prototyping projects, workshops and managed all the company's internal hardware.

Who I am

I am originally from Dhaka, Bangladesh and am studying in the United States as an international student. I am a huge basketball fan and always keep up to date with the NBA and also love playing pickup games with my friends. I really enjoy travelling and hiking, and I would love to take every opportunity to visit picturesque scenic locations as it is, in my opinion, the best form of retreat from everyday life. When I'm indoors, I spend time watching documentaries on various topics as well as horror movies.

I believe the best way to learn is by doing small projects, so I usually take on different kinds of work to pass my time during semester breaks. The past few years have been the most educative and inspiring years of my life as I'm constantly exposed to new kinds of technology and the learning curve never seems to end. Check out some of my projects below and feel free to jump into my Github to see many more .
